Proyecto Unión

The primary objective of Proyecto Unión is to serve as a bond and support to all members, enthusiasts and connoisseurs of Caribbean music, emphasizing in Puerto Rican genres and their counterparts in the Caribbean. Furthermore, create cultural exchanges that, in turn, enrich the objectives and results of the project. It aims to transform the cultural development of Puerto Rican communities, beginning in the Diaspora and the Caribbean, and ending in Puerto Rico. Proyecto Unión seeks to solidify, through workshops, the historical knowledge, the recognition of precursors and defenders of our culture, the quality improvement of cultural products being developed, the creation of unity and mutual support between the different groups, and the encouragement to respect and cooperate amongst the great cultural community that exists in the world. With this project, Restauración Cultural is also interested in being part of presentations, recordings, and products that solidify the Puerto Rican cultural market.  In turn, contributing to the rescue and preservation of our most ancient oral tradition.

Los Gigantes De La Bomba

Rafael is one of the chief instructors in this educational program sponsored by The Municipality of Carolina, Puerto Rico.  Rafael offers classes in percussion, dance, history, and vocals tuesdays and thursdays.These classes are held in the Plaza of Carolina and also amongst communities and schools in the area.
